Cortal Horse Feed System
The horse is a herbivore and the physiology of its digestive system is not suited to metabolising large quantities of cereals.
Therefore, it is important to give the horse extremely digestible products. Furthermore, a diet rich in raw starch can cause particularly severe pathological and metabolic states.
With this goal in mind the CORTAL HORSE FEED SYSTEM was developed, a new nutrition concept that focusses on the physiology and needs of the horse, with clear effects on its well-being and performance, and revolutionises the traditional daily ration.
How are our products made?
The extruded raw materials are used to produce pellets and kibble, which, when combined, become feed specially formulated to meet the horse’s needs.
The pellets are composed of extruded protein raw materials, fibrous raw materials, sources of fat and mineral-vitamin-amino acid supplementation. They ensure the simultaneous and constant intake of all nutrients at each meal.
The extruded kibble is a source of gelatinised and therefore fully digestible starch.
The Cortal Horse Feed System, accordingly, ensures a controlled and constant dietary intake, specifically adjusted to actual needs with an extremely high digestibility and assimilation of all nutrients.
